The Wide Lens is inviting you to publish your photographs and the stories behind them, setting a stage to view interesting pieces of photographic work work and learn about them.

Who can publish photographs on The Wide Lens?

  • Professional and amateur photographers are both welcome to publish their photos. Anyone who can create high quality and\or unique images, and also write a few words about them.

Why publish images?

  • Simply to share your photographs.
  • Tell viewers about the technique, location and other aspects of your photography.
  • Promote your own personal photography website (or any other personal website).
  • Join an expanding group of photographers and help to create the atmosphere on The Wide Lens.
  • Be sure that your set of published images will be feautred on the main page for at least a full day.
  • Get your own little personal image gallery showcasing your published images.
  • Any type of photography is accepted for publishing, as long as it isn’t offensive.

What do I need to send when publishing images?

  • A photograph or series of images (up to 5 images please). resolution should be at least 640X480, which is good enough for web view.
  • A short text to describe the story behind your selection of images to publish (Event, technique, experience or anything else). See how it works on the existing posts, but there’s really no formula to stick to.
  • Some information about yourself (optional)
  • Specify which equipment was used to take the photographs you’re publishing: Camera, Lense, Filters ect… So we can all learn something.
  • You can use the contact form below to upload up to 3 images or a zip file of a few images, or e-mail to thewidelens[at]gmail[dot]com
  • If you have your own website, feel free to send in the link and it will be added to your post.

Important Notice: Only send in pictures for publishing you have taken andor own the copyrights of. The Wide Lens is not intended to post any illegal images. So if you found it on another website, please don’t send it over without the photographer’s consent! Better yet, let the photographer send it.
