A a good picture takes technique, composition, focus, lighting and just about anything else in the photographer’s arsenal.
A great picture is usually achieved by a whole different factor- being at the right time at the right place:
“We were next to a beautiful lake in Kackar, and just as we arrived, it took its place on this “podium”, as if ready to deliver a speech”
