The Wide Lens- Photography Stories

This is one of Ido Liven’s personal favorites, because of its simplicity. Taken in Ruegersberg, Germany (September, 2007), with the old and reliable Olympus C-4000, Ido details:

“The minute I saw this apple lying on the bench I had that well-known hunch I have to pull out my camera. Staring at it for a few seconds, all the objects easily arranged themselves into this composition.”

“This apple might resemble the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil that Eve had taken a bite from. But at the same time, it would probably also be the first choice of William Tell to put on his son’s head, or the same apple that hit Newton’s head.

At the end, all mythical characteristics are gone – only the apple is left.”
