The Wide Lens had lately changes its appearance. A designed version of the K2 theme, and mainly new graphic elements such as the featured content box on the home page the the "shadowbox" which makes images open to full size in a very cool and smooth way- for an improved image viewing experience.

A few more site updates as The Wide Lens starts to look like I want it to look.
Starting with the core, I've updated the WordPress version to 2.7.1. On it's own it won't show, but hopefully it improves overall performance- always good to stay updated.

The Wide Lens has been upgraded to Wordpress version 2.7 and added a translation feature by "convey this" to all its stories. Continue reading
Starting last night, The Wide Lens now features automatic e-mail updates.
If you don't like dealing with RSS feeds, and often forget to check in on the site, but still don't want to miss a new story- this is the solution for you.
Using feedburner, you can now simply enter your e-mail adress in the component located on the right sidebar, and that's it. No registration, no passwords- really easy.

A bit more work on features done today. With a little help from my friends, Michal- who also posted on The Wide Lens before, the home page now features new action button.
As the website currently offers 3 main functions for the users:
- View the latest post with their photography stories.
- Share the readers and send in their own photography story to publish.
- Get news and updates from other photography
